Berlin Homeowner Convenience Center to Cease Yard Waste Acceptance

Worcester County, MD - Beginning April 1, 2026, yard waste will no longer be accepted at the Berlin Homeowner Convenience Center (HOCC). The collection of yard waste was temporarily permitted at this facility following a series of February snowstorms.

This measure was implemented to assist residents with their winter cleanup efforts.

After the April 1 deadline, yard waste will only be accepted at alternative Solid Waste locations. These specific sites are the Central Landfill in Newark and the Pocomoke HOCC.
