BISHOPVILLE WOMAN CHARGED BY MARYLAND STATE POLICE WITH THE MURDER OF HER BOYFRIEND

Bishopville, MD - Maryland State Police Homicide Unit has charged a Bishopville, Maryland woman in connection with a Monday Night homicide that took the life of her boyfriend.
The Maryland State Police have identified Bonnie Hackendorn, a 61-year-old resident of Bishopville, Maryland, as the individual charged with the murder of David Shaulis, her 57-year-old boyfriend.
The tragic incident took place on Monday Evening around 9:30 PM, when authorities received a call from Hackendorn, who reported that Shaulis had been shot at their home on Shell Mill Road. Responding troopers found Shaulis unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound.
Following a thorough investigation conducted by Maryland State Police Homicide Detectives and crime scene technicians, Hackendorn was taken into custody. She now faces charges that include first-degree murder, second-degree murder, assault, and various firearm offenses.
Hackendorn is currently held without bond at the Worcester County Detention Center.
