STATE OF DE - The Blue Line Network (BLN) has announced a "Back the Blue" community event scheduled for Saturday, January 3, 2026. This gathering will honor Delaware State Police Corporal Matthew Tyler Snook. Corporal Snook was killed in the line of duty on December 23, 2025.
Corporal Snook was a 10-year veteran of the Delaware State Police. He was fatally shot while working an overtime assignment at the Delaware Motor Vehicle facility in Wilmington. His death has impacted the law enforcement community and his acquaintances.
The event will be held at William B. Keene Elementary School. The location is 200 Cpl. Steven J. Ballard Way, Newark, Delaware 19702. The event will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Participating vehicles will be directed through a designated area. Blue Line Network volunteers will place a Corporal Snook memorial sticker on the rear window of each vehicle. This provides a method for the community to acknowledge Corporal Snook's service and sacrifice.
There is no cost for the memorial sticker. The Blue Line Network respectfully requests donations. One hundred percent of all funds collected will be provided to the Snook family.
The Blue Line Network invites the community to attend to demonstrate support for the family and law enforcement.
