Boat Fire Under Investigation in Dorchester County

Taylors Island, MD - On July 17, 2025 at approximately 1:53 AM, a fire broke out early Thursday morning in the 600 block of Taylors Island Road in Dorchester County, Maryland.


The fire broke out on a 35-foot Concor Cabin Cruiser vessel at Slaughter Creek Marina, resulting in significant damages. The fire, originally reported by a neighboring residence, prompted a response from the Taylor's Island Volunteer Fire Company.

The area of origin and the preliminary cause of the fire remain under investigation by authorities.
