Bridgeville Man Arrested for 4th DUI and Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

BRIDGEVILLE, DE - Delaware State Police arrested 24-year-old Marcus Massey Jr. of Bridgeville, Delaware, on Thursday following a traffic stop in Frankford. He faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence and drug possession.

The incident occurred on December 18, 2025, at approximately 3:20 p.m. A trooper patrolling the Cypress Swamp area observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane, nearly striking oncoming traffic.

A traffic stop was subsequently conducted, and the driver was identified as Massey Jr.
During the interaction, the trooper noted signs of impairment and administered Standard Field Sobriety Tests. A search of Massey Jr. revealed approximately 4.29 grams of heroin concealed on his person. A computer check further indicated that he had three prior DUI convictions.

Massey Jr. was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 4. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on an $11,503 secured bond.

Charges filed against Massey Jr. include Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver a Controlled Substance (Tier 2 Felony), 4th Offense Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence of Any Drug (Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Tier 2 Felony), Driving While Suspended or Revoked, and other traffic offenses.
