Burglary Suspects Apprehended Following Incident in Cambridge

Cambridge, MD - On August 18, 2025, at approximately 5:43 p.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded to reports of a burglary on the 600 block of Hubert Street in Cambridge, Maryland.


The victim reported that their residence had been broken into on August 17, 2025, at around 4:58 p.m. Items reported stolen included a television, jewelry, documents, and US currency.


The offenders were observed on security camera footage by both the victim and CPD officers. As officers cleared the scene, they encountered two individuals on Fairmount Avenue and Hubert Street who matched the description of the suspects captured on video.


The individuals, a 16-year-old male and a 14-year-old female, both from Cambridge, were detained at the scene.


During the investigation, some of the stolen property was recovered. Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to CPD for processing.


Due to their age, they were later turned over to the Department of Juvenile Services Lower Shore for commitment. The 16-year-old male has been charged with the following:


  • Burglary 1st Degree  
  • Burglary 3rd Degree  
  • Burglary 4th Degree Dwelling  
  • Theft $1,500 to Under $25,000  
  • Fraud Identity to Avoid Prosecution  


The 14-year-old female is facing the following charges:


  • Burglary 1st Degree  
  • Burglary 3rd Degree  
  • Burglary 4th Degree Dwelling  
  • Theft $1,500 to Under $25,000
