Cambridge, MD - On June 11, 2025, at approximately 11:31 p.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) arrested 45-year-old Price Alexander McCoy of Cambridge, Maryland. The arrest was made based on an active arrest warrant issued by the Dorchester County District Court.

McCoy was transported to the CPD for processing and an initial court appearance before being handed over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections without bond.

McCoy faces the following charges:

  • Second-degree assault
  • Driving without a license
  • Reckless driving

These charges arise from an incident that occurred on May 20, 2025, in the 400 block of Willis Street. At approximately 5:46 p.m. that day, CPD officers responded to reports of a potential assault.

Upon arrival, they spoke with the victim, who described the events leading to the charges against McCoy.

According to the victim, an argument began as she entered a vehicle with McCoy. She reported that McCoy abruptly accelerated the vehicle while she was partially inside and outside of it, causing her to fall backward onto the ground.

When she attempted to re-enter the vehicle, McCoy repeated this action, further accelerating and causing her to fall again. The victim sustained minor injuries from these incidents.

During the investigation, officers confirmed that McCoy did not possess a valid driver's license. Following these findings, CPD officers filed charges against him through the District Court Commissioner.
