Cambridge Man Arrested Following Assault on Mariners Way
Cambridge, MD - Officers from the Cambridge Police Department responded to a disturbance call in the 100 block of Mariners Way early Saturday morning.
At approximately 1:26 a.m. on January 3, 2026, police arrived at the scene to investigate reports of an assault. Upon arrival, they located a male subject outside the residence who appeared to have been sprayed with Mace.
Inside the home, officers found a female subject who had also been sprayed with Mace. Police noted that the female subject had sustained visible injuries, including blood on her nose and a bite mark.
An investigation into the incident revealed that a verbal altercation had occurred over a vehicle key. The dispute escalated when the male subject reportedly refused to leave the residence.
Police identified the male subject as 43-year-old Torrance Demar Davis of Cambridge, Maryland. Davis was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing.
He was subsequently transferred to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections and is currently being held without bond. Davis has been charged with Assault in the Second Degree.
