Cambridge Man Arrested Following Disturbance on High Street

Cambridge, MD - On February 2, 2026, at approximately 1:29 p.m., Cambridge Police Department officers responded to the 300 block of High Street. The response was initiated regarding a report of an active assault. The incident was witnessed by multiple individuals, including personnel from Lewis Security.

The subjects involved in the incident proceeded to the 300 block of Gay Street, where they were located by law enforcement. Officers contacted a female victim and the identified offender, Charlie Rodriguez Navarro, an 18-year-old resident of Cambridge, Maryland.

While officers attempted to investigate the incident, Navarro continued to act in a disorderly manner, creating a further disturbance. Officers attempted to detain Navarro, at which point he struggled with the responding officers.

Navarro was placed under arrest and transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing. He was later released on his personal recognizance. Navarro has been charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct, and Failure to Obey a Lawful Order.
