Cambridge Man Arrested Following Physical Altercation

Cambridge, Maryland - On July 30, 2025, at approximately 12:08 p.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded to the area of R&D Boat Supply on Washington Street after reports of an active physical disturbance.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers observed a vehicle leaving the area that matched the description of one allegedly involved in the incident. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at a nearby WaWa parking lot.
A witness arrived at the location and confirmed that the vehicle and its two occupants were involved in the reported altercation.
Officers identified the occupants and conducted interviews to gather additional details. According to the two individuals in the vehicle, the incident stemmed from a verbal argument regarding headphones.
However, a witness at the scene alleged witnessing a male individual assaulting a female victim. The male suspect, identified as Dironte Antoine Stanley, 30, of Cambridge, MD, was accused of lifting the female victim and throwing her to the ground before punching her during the altercation.
Following the accounts provided by the witness, Stanley was placed under arrest by Cambridge Police and transported to the department for processing. He was later released on an unsecured bond set at $10,000.
