Cambridge Man Arrested for Burglary

CAMBRIDGE, MD - A Cambridge man has been arrested in connection with a burglary that occurred on the morning of October 9, 2025. At approximately 6:22 a.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 400 block of Light Street. Upon arrival, the victim informed officers that a suspect had broken into the residence by dislodging a window air conditioning unit. The suspect reportedly took several items before leaving the area on a scooter. The suspect was identified as 22-year-old Qwinton Tylik Rogers of Cambridge. Officers and detectives from the Proactive Community Engagement Team (PACE) were given an address for Rogers and responded to the location. They found Rogers at the address and detained him. According to police, Rogers admitted to pushing in the air conditioning unit and later disclosed the location of the stolen property to the officers. Rogers was placed under arrest and charged with Burglary in the 1st Degree, Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Burglary 4th Degree Dwelling, Theft of $100 to under $1,500, and Malicious Destruction of Property. He was later transferred to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
