Cambridge Man Arrested on Multiple Burglary Charges Following Food Truck Investigation

CAMBRIDGE, MD - Cambridge Police Department officers arrested a 29-year-old Cambridge resident on August 26, 2025, in connection with a food truck burglary that occurred earlier this month.


Christian Nick Bearisto was taken into custody at approximately 6:22 p.m. on an active Dorchester County District Court arrest warrant. He was subsequently transferred to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections and is being held without bond.


Bearisto faces six charges related to the incident:


  • Burglary in the second degree
  • Burglary in the fourth degree (theft)
  • Burglary in the fourth degree (tools)
  • Rogue and vagabond
  • Theft between $100 and $1,500
  • Malicious destruction of property


The charges stem from an investigation that began on August 14, 2025. Officers responded to a theft report in the 100 block of Cedar Street at approximately 8:22 a.m. that morning.


The investigation revealed that a food truck operating at the location had been burglarized. Money was reported stolen from the vehicle during the break-in.


Video surveillance footage captured the incident, which occurred on August 13, 2025, at approximately 3:26 a.m. Cambridge Police Department detectives continued their investigation and were able to identify Bearisto as the suspect through the video evidence.
