Cambridge Man Arrested on Weapon Charges Following Disturbance

Cambridge, MD - Detectives from the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) Proactive Community Engagement Team (PACE) responded to a reported physical disturbance on January 16, 2026.

At approximately 9:35 p.m., officers arrived at the 500 block of Clinton St. Subjects were heard actively arguing at the location. The individuals were separated by officers to manage the scene.

One subject was identified as 33-year-old Teven Wilson Bailey of Cambridge, Maryland.

Investigation revealed that Bailey had an active Bench Warrant. This warrant was issued by the Dorchester County District Court regarding a failure to appear in court on December 18, 2025, for an original charge of Driving Without a License.

Bailey was subsequently placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest was conducted, and a loaded silver .22 caliber handgun was located in his possession.

Records indicate that Bailey is prohibited from possessing firearms. He was transported to the CPD for processing and later turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on a No Bond status.

Bailey faces several charges, including Loaded Handgun on Person, Firearm Possession with Felony Conviction, and Illegal Possession of Ammunition.
