Cambridge Man Charged After BB Gun and Paraphernalia Discovery
Cambridge, MD - Cambridge Police Department officers responded to the Salvation Army in the 200 block of Washington Street on the morning of January 29, 2026. The response occurred at approximately 7:02 a.m. following a report of an individual in possession of a gun.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers located and detained 50-year-old Clarence Roosevelt Beck of Cambridge, Maryland. Beck informed the responding officers that he had a BB gun stored under his mattress.
Officers recovered a revolver-style BB gun from the location. The weapon had been manipulated to resemble a real firearm, containing a real spent shell casing in the cylinder. The item was subsequently confiscated.
No individuals at the location reported that the weapon had been pointed at them. During the recovery of the BB gun, officers also discovered paraphernalia associated with Crack Cocaine belonging to the subject.
Beck was issued Criminal Citations and was released from custody. He has been banned from the Salvation Army property and charged with CDS Possession Not Cannabis and CDS Possession of Paraphernalia.
