Cambridge Man Charged Following Harassment and Assault Incident

CAMBRIDGE, MD -Cambridge Police Department officers served a criminal summons on August 29, 2025, at approximately 2:23 p.m. The summons was issued to Curt Lichty, a 64-year-old Cambridge, Maryland resident.

Lichty faces multiple charges stemming from an incident that occurred on August 13, 2025, in the 300 block of Choptank Avenue in Cambridge, Maryland. The charges include Peace Order Fail to Comply, Assault in the Second Degree, and Harassment.

According to police reports, the victim stated that Lichty had been harassing them for approximately one week prior to the incident. The harassment reportedly included making derogatory statements toward the victim. The victim also reported that Lichty had spit on them during the encounter.

An active Peace Order was in effect at the time of the incident. Authorities determined that Lichty violated the terms of this order during the alleged harassment. The victim subsequently applied for charges against Lichty through the appropriate legal channels.
