Cambridge, MD - On March 3, 2024, the Cambridge Police Department arrested Tavonte Mijay Ennals on an active Dorchester County Arrest Warrant.

The arrest occurred at approximately 12:20 pm, and Ennals was taken to the Cambridge Police Department for processing and initial court appearance.

He was transferred to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections and is held on No Bond.

Ennals faces multiple charges, which include First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Theft of items valued less than $100.

These charges emanate from an incident reported on March 2, 2024. Cambridge Police received a complaint from a victim who stated Ennals had assaulted her at the Bradford House, located on the 700 block of Race St.

The victim gave her side of the story and sequence of events that began at around 5:00 am when Ennals allegedly smacked her and took her cell phone before disappearing into an apartment.

When the victim knocked on the apartment door in an attempt to retrieve her phone, Ennals allegedly responded by punching her repeatedly in the face. It was also reported that Ennals had awoken from sleep earlier and began assaulting the victim, an assault that included strangulation, hair-pulling, and a headlock that resulted in her face being banged on the floor several times.

The victim also claims to have been bitten and burned with a cigarette by Ennals.

The signs of injury observed by the Cambridge Police were consistent with the victim's report. Charges were promptly filed against Ennals with the District Court Commissioner.
