Cambridge Man Charged with Assault and Property Destruction

CAMBRIDGE, MD - Cambridge Police Department officers served a criminal summons on August 29, 2025, at approximately 3:17 p.m. The charges were filed against David Jones, a 56-year-old Cambridge resident.


Jones faces charges of second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on August 19, 2025, in the 400 block of Camper Street.


According to the victim's report, Jones allegedly shoved the individual and threw a bicycle at them during the altercation. The victim also reported that Jones cut a wire on a refrigerator, causing property damage.


The victim applied for criminal charges against Jones following the incident. The case is now proceeding through the court system.
