Cambridge Man Cited for Drug Possession Following Traffic Stop

Cambridge, MD - Cambridge Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on July 10, 2025, at approximately 12:19 p.m. The incident occurred on Pine Street near Washington Street in Cambridge, Maryland.
The stop involved a motorized bike operator who was found to be in violation of excessive noise regulations and had failed to stop at a red light.
The operator, identified as Michael Albert Beasley, 58, of Cambridge, Maryland, was approached by officers at the scene. During their interaction, officers observed that Beasley's pants pockets appeared significantly bulging.
Upon inquiry, Beasley began removing items from his pockets. While doing so, officers observed a smoking device consistent with those used for consuming crack cocaine.
A further search of Beasley revealed a plastic bag containing crack cocaine. Beasley was subsequently issued a criminal citation and released from the scene.
