Cambridge Man Cited for Theft at Local Hardware Store
CAMBRIDGE, MD - A Cambridge resident was issued a criminal citation following a theft incident at Ace Hardware on September 29, 2025. Cambridge Police Department officers responded to the hardware store at approximately 11:08 a.m. after receiving a report of theft. Store personnel provided officers with a description of the suspect, who had already left the premises. While en route to the scene, officers located the individual on Washington Street near Family Dollar. The suspect was identified as Levi Marvin Mitchell Prettyman, a 30-year-old Cambridge resident. During the contact, officers observed that Prettyman possessed a bag containing new tools. The items matched the description of merchandise reported stolen from the hardware store. Ace Hardware personnel confirmed that the tools in Prettyman's possession belonged to their establishment. Prettyman was issued a criminal citation for theft of property valued between $100 and $1,500. He was released following the citation process.
