CAMBRIDGE MAN FACES SHOPLIFTING CHARGES FOR WALMART THEFT

CAMBRIDGE, MD - Tramaar Kevin Major, a 31-year-old man from Cambridge, MD, is facing theft charges after being served on Monday Evening by Cambridge police officers with a criminal summons. 

Major was charged following a shoplifting incident that had taken place in Walmart on December 9, 2023. 

He faces charges of Burglary 4th Degree Theft and Theft amounting to $100 to under $1,500. 

According to the Walmart Asset Protection staff, Major was observed using a self-checkout line on the day of the incident. He was noticed only scanning a portion of the items in his possession. 

He is accused of leaving the store with unscanned goods valued at a total of $305.62. 

Following this observation, Walmart Asset Protection proceeded to apply the charges against Major via the Court Commissioner. 

This latest incident serves as a potent reminder of the legal consequences of theft and the dedication of asset protection staff in ensuring that acts of shoplifting do not go unnoticed. 

Consequently, Major is due to attend a court hearing where he will face the charges brought against him.
