Cambridge Police Arrest Local Man on Warrant and CDS Violations

Cambridge, MD - Cambridge Police Department detectives arrested Tyree Devon Bryant, a 34-year-old from Cambridge, Maryland, on August 11, 2025. The arrest took place at approximately 10:31 a.m. in the 600 block of Race Street following a traffic stop where Bryant was riding a bicycle.


Bryant was taken into custody for an active Dorchester County District Court arrest warrant. A search incident to arrest revealed that Bryant was in possession of crack cocaine.


He was subsequently handed over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections with no bond assigned for the warrant.


Bryant faces the following charges related to Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) based on a criminal summons issued after his arrest:


  • CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotics
  • CDS Possession (Not Cannabis)
  • CDS Possession of Paraphernalia (4 counts)


Additionally, the active Dorchester County arrest warrant included the following charges:


  • Assault in the First Degree
  • Assault in the Second Degree
  • Affray
  • Malicious Destruction of Property


The charges stem from an alleged incident that occurred on August 6, 2025, in the 600 block of Pine Street in Cambridge, Maryland. According to the victim, at approximately 8 a.m., they were traveling down Pine Street when they encountered Bryant.


The victim reported that Bryant threw a brick at their vehicle, causing damage to the windshield. After exiting the vehicle and attempting to pursue Bryant, the victim stated that upon returning to their vehicle, Bryant reappeared, accompanied by other unidentified individuals.


A physical altercation reportedly ensued, during which the victim claimed they were struck multiple times and potentially hit with a brick.


These allegations, combined with the evidence, contributed to the charges filed against Bryant.
