Cambridge, MD - A 22-year-old Cambridge man with multiple active warrants was arrested on March 2, 2026, following a brief foot pursuit. Officers from the Cambridge Police Department apprehended Kanye Xzavier Pinder after locating him hiding in a vehicle outside his residence.

He is currently being held without bond at the Dorchester County Department of Corrections.

The incident began at approximately 5:09 p.m. Officers were conducting a routine patrol check in the 700 block of Foxtail Drive. They observed Pinder and attempted to make contact. Pinder fled from the officers on foot into a nearby wooded area. Thick foliage temporarily obscured their view. However, officers tracked his path toward his home.

Upon arriving at the residence, officers found a vehicle running in the driveway. Pinder was located hiding in the rear seat. He attempted to flee a second time and resisted arrest. He was quickly taken into custody. Pinder was transported to the police department for processing. He faces new charges of disorderly conduct, failure to obey, obstructing and hindering, and resisting arrest.

In addition to the new charges, Pinder was served with four outstanding warrants. The first was a Dorchester County District Court bench warrant for a probation violation. This stemmed from original charges of failing to comply with a peace order, fourth-degree burglary, and trespassing.

The second was a bench warrant for failing to appear in court on April 30, 2025, for second-degree assault, harassment, and reckless endangerment.

The third was a Wicomico County Circuit Court bench warrant for a pre-trial release violation related to an original charge of armed robbery.

The fourth warrant was a Dorchester County District Court arrest warrant for second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. These charges originate from an incident on March 10, 2025.

At approximately 6:29 a.m., officers responded to an assault in the 600 block of Greenwood Avenue. An altercation had occurred over a vape. Pinder reportedly refused to leave the residence. He then dragged the victim into a living room and punched them multiple times. Officers observed visible injuries on the victim and subsequently obtained the arrest warrant.
