Cambridge Police Conduct Traffic Stop Leading to Arrest for Multiple Violations

Cambridge, Maryland - On July 27, 2025, at approximately 11:05 p.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Race Street at Route 16. The stop was initiated after officers observed multiple traffic violations, including speeding, a tag violation, and failure to stop at a stop sign.
The driver was identified as 26-year-old Thomas James Pantzloff, a Cambridge, MD, resident. During the interaction, officers observed alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle and noted signs that the driver may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Upon questioning, Pantzloff admitted to having consumed alcoholic beverages and using cannabis before driving. Officers subsequently requested him to participate in a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST).
Following the assessment, Pantzloff was placed under arrest and transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing.
Pantzloff was later released and issued several traffic citations.
