Cambridge Police Execute Search and Seizure Warrant Leading to Arrest

Cambridge, MD - On August 21, 2025, at approximately 9:55 a.m., members of the Cambridge Police Department's P.A.C.E. Unit, Patrol Division, and K9 Unit executed a Search and Seizure Warrant on Nasir Dewayne Demby, a 20-year-old resident of Cambridge, Maryland.


The warrant resulted from an investigation into the distribution of Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) in the area of Pine Street and Cross Street during July and August 2025.


The investigation was initiated following community complaints regarding consistent CDS distribution in the area. The P.A.C.E. Unit conducted a lengthy investigation, ultimately leading to the issuance of the warrant.


Nasir Demby was located in a vehicle in the 700 block of Race Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, during which a search of Demby was carried out.


A quantity of CDS was discovered on his person. Demby was taken into custody, transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing, and later transferred to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections. He is being held without bond.


Nasir Demby faces the following charges:


  • CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotic
  • CDS Possession Not Cannabis
