Cambridge Police Investigate Attempted Burglary at ZipMart

Cambridge, MD - Officers from the Cambridge Police Department are investigating an attempted burglary at a local convenience store.

The incident occurred at the ZipMart located in the 400 block of High St. Police responded to the scene on January 26, 2026, at approximately 7:23 p.m. The attempt itself reportedly took place the previous morning, January 25, at around 4:45 a.m.

Surveillance footage reviewed by officers captured two individuals at the front of the store.

Both subjects were dressed in all dark clothing, and one was observed carrying a bookbag.

The footage shows one subject removing an item from the bag and approaching the front door to look inside. At that moment, a snowplow passed by the business. The two subjects then walked away in the direction of Glasgow St.

Police report that no entry was made into the building, and no damage was caused to the business. This remains an ongoing investigation.
