Cambridge Police Investigate Shooting Incident at Corner Market Gas Station

CAMBRIDGE, MD - The Cambridge Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on August 31, 2025, involving gunfire at a local gas station and subsequent property damage.


Officers responded to Corner Market on Cambridge Beltway and Stone Boundary Road at approximately 5:26 a.m. following reports of shots fired and a vehicle fleeing the gas station at high speed. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored van.


Upon arrival, officers conducted a thorough search of the area but found no victims, witnesses, or physical evidence.


Later that morning at approximately 9:10 a.m., police received a second call regarding gunfire damage to an apartment in the 2600 block of Cambridge Beltway. The resident reported discovering drywall debris on their bed along with a bullet hole in the bedroom wall.


Officers determined the bullet's trajectory had passed through the apartment's front door, traveled through the kitchen, and into the bedroom. No injuries were reported in connection with either incident.


The Cambridge Police Department has opened an active investigation into these related incidents. Authorities are seeking assistance from community members who may have witnessed the events or possess relevant information.
