Cambridge Police Investigate Shooting Incident on Skinners Court

CAMBRIDGE, MD - On September 5, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m. the Cambridge Police Department responded to the 400 block of Skinners Court in Cambridge, Maryland for a reported shooting.

Officers arrived at the residence and discovered a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the face.

The victim was transported by helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of his injuries.

Police have taken a 15-year-old suspect into custody in connection with the shooting. The suspect has been identified as the stepson of the victim. The juvenile remains in Cambridge Police custody as the investigation continues.

The incident is being treated as an active crime scene. Investigators are working to gather additional evidence and witness statements. A more detailed press release will be issued as more information becomes available.

Cambridge Police expressed gratitude to the Maryland State Police and the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office for their prompt response and assistance at the scene. Multiple agencies continue to support the ongoing investigation.
