Cambridge Woman Charged Following Traffic Stop on Cedar Street
Cambridge, MD - Cambridge Police Department officers initiated a traffic stop on December 31, 2025 at approximately 9:32 p.m. in the 100 block of Cedar Street. Officers stopped the vehicle after observing multiple traffic violations.
During the stop, the driver provided a false name and incorrect date of birth to police officers. Officers subsequently removed the subject from the vehicle and placed her under arrest.
Police later identified the driver as 46-year-old Jacqueline Renee Johnson of Cambridge, Maryland.
Further investigation revealed that Johnson possessed a suspended Maryland driver's license. She was transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing and was later released on her personal recognizance.
Johnson faces several charges related to the incident. These include driving without a license, driving on a suspended license, and driving while suspended for failing to attend a driver improvement program.
She is also charged with obstructing and hindering, fraudulent personal identification to avoid prosecution, and making a false statement to a police officer.
