Cambridge Woman Charged with Second-Degree Assault Following Parkway Street Incidents
Cambridge, MD - On January 29, 2026, at approximately 11:43 a.m., officers from the Cambridge Police Department served a criminal summons to Briceida Gomez-Leiva. The 27-year-old resident of Cambridge, Maryland, has been charged with second-degree assault.
The charges stem from incidents reported to have occurred on January 10 and January 12, 2026, in the 800 block of Parkway Street in Cambridge, Maryland.
Regarding the first date, the victim reported that Gomez-Leiva attempted to assault them while they were seated in a vehicle. It is alleged that she slapped the victim multiple times and threatened to strike them with a sandal.
A second incident was reported on January 12. The victim stated that Gomez-Leiva struck them in the face with a towel. She then allegedly pushed and slapped the victim before a physical altercation ensued between the two parties.
Charges were subsequently applied for by the victim through the Court Commissioner.
