Cambridge Woman Charged with Theft Following Scooter Incident

Cambridge, MD - On January 5, 2026, officers from the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded to a report of shoplifting at the local Tractor Supply store. The incident occurred at approximately 11:07 a.m.

Before arriving at the scene, officers received information that a female suspect had departed the store on a scooter carrying multiple items. Upon arrival in the area, officers located an individual matching the description behind the nearby movie theater.

Police identified the suspect as Dawn Kajuana Nellie Jones, a 39-year-old resident of Cambridge, Maryland. Jones was found in possession of several items that had been removed from Tractor Supply.

Following the investigation, Jones was issued a criminal citation and subsequently released. She has been charged with Theft $100 to Under $1,500.
