Cambridge, MD - On February 27, 2024, at approximately 10:57 am, Officers from the Cambridge Police Department reported the serving of a Criminal Summons on Lakeisha Matthews. 

Matthews now faces charges of Assault in the 2^nd Degree. The charges stem from an incident that occurred a mere five days prior, on the 700 block of Washington St in Cambridge, MD.

According to the victim's account, they were assaulted by Matthews in a disturbing episode that involved being struck, followed by a death threat. Given the severity of the alleged assault and the subsequent threat to life, the victim took prompt legal action, filing charges against Matthews with the Dorchester County District Court Commissioner.

This troubling incident serves as a reminder to citizens of our community about the importance of personal safety and the legal avenues available when such unfortunate events transpire.
