Caroline County Law Enforcement Investigate Tuesday Night Shooting

Caroline County, MD - On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, a 31-year-old male from Seaford, Delaware, was found with a gunshot wound in Federalsburg, MD.

The Caroline County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for shots fired in the 1000 block of Routzahn Lane in Federalsburg, Maryland. Upon arrival, deputies and troopers from the Maryland State Police found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the right leg.

Law enforcement administered immediate first aid until Emergency Medical Services arrived. The victim was then airlifted to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland, by the Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 6 for further medical treatment. The victim was listed in critical but stable condition.

This is an ongoing investigation. At this time, the Caroline County Sheriff's Office has no further comment.
