CAROLINE COUNTY, MD - The Caroline County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a recent theft. On March 6, 2024, deputies were called to a Valero in Preston, Maryland, following a report of theft by a store employee.

Upon arrival, store employees informed deputies about an individual who was seen entering the store and taking a cellular phone charger without paying.

The same person was later seen returning to the store and exchanging the stolen charger for a different cable.

In a bold move, the subject returned once more to the store, this time to return the recently stolen item for a cash refund of approximately $81.00.

The Sheriff's Office has since released an image of the suspect, believing someone in the community may recognize the individual.

Anyone with information that could lead to the identification of the subject is asked to contact Deputy First Class Ingraham of the Caroline County Sheriff's Office at 410-479-5847.
