Salisbury, MD - The City of Salisbury has announced that the highly anticipated Carroll Street redesign project, which was initially scheduled to start this spring, has been postponed until later this summer.

The delay is due to unforeseen issues on the contractor's end that are beyond the City's control. Officials state that this new start date will allow for better coordination and help ensure the project meets the highest standards.

"This project is very important and deserves all the attention to detail to make sure we get it right," said Mayor Randy Taylor. "We are committed to delivering a result that benefits the entire community for years to come."

In the meantime, residents and visitors are encouraged to continue enjoying the many attractions of Downtown Salisbury, including a full schedule of summer events and community activities.

The City appreciates the public's patience and understanding during this time and encourages everyone to stay informed by following updates on the City of Salisbury's official website and social media platforms.
