CITY OF SALISBURY ANNOUNCES JUNETEENTH OFFICE CLOSURES AND ROAD CLOSURES FOR PARADE AND FESTIVAL

Salisbury, Maryland - The City of Salisbury has announced that City offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025, to commemorate Juneteenth.
The celebration continues on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with the Eastern Shore Juneteenth organization hosting its annual Juneteenth Parade & Festival in Downtown Salisbury. The event is scheduled to take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Road Closures
To ensure the safety of participants and smooth event operations, the following road closures will be in effect on Saturday, June 21, 2025:
- 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Division Street from Route 50 to Circle Avenue
- Main Street from W. Market Street to Court Street
- Church Street from St. Peter's Street to Division Street
- Camden Street (full closure)
- 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- W. Market Street from Circle Avenue to Mill Street
Powell Building visitors and residents will have access to parking via Circle Avenue to W. Market Street. Traffic control officials will be stationed at the intersection to assist residents during the closure. The City encourages residents and motorists to plan ahead and use alternate routes to minimize disruptions.
