City of Salisbury Announces Road Closure for Stormwater System Maintenance

SALISBURY, MD - Salisbury residents should prepare for a temporary road closure as the city undertakes essential stormwater system maintenance. The City of Salisbury's Department of Waterworks Utilities Division will be replacing a stormwater inlet at the intersection of Waverly Street and Maryland Avenue.


The scheduled work will begin on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to conclude by Friday, September 12, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., provided there are no unexpected delays.


Due to the repairs, Waverly Street will be closed to through traffic between Maryland Avenue and Ohio Avenue. Local traffic may be permitted access as required.


The city has notified all relevant utility locators and Central Alarm about the project. City officials have expressed their appreciation for the public's patience and cooperation while these necessary infrastructure improvements are made.
