Salisbury, MD - Downtown Salisbury is excited to welcome community members and visitors this Friday, May 16, for the lively 3rd Friday celebration, featuring this month's enchanting theme of "Paw Prints." This engaging, pet-friendly event invites everyone to bring their well-behaved furry friends to enjoy an evening filled with music, activities, and the unique charm of small businesses.

The heart of Downtown Salisbury will be transformed into a bustling hub of entertainment and community spirit, with road closures starting at 2 P.M. to create a pedestrian-friendly environment. Main Street, from W. Market Street to Division Street, and Division Street from Rt. 50 to Circle Avenue, will be closed to traffic. However, parking downtown remains free during nights and weekends, with a two-hour on-street parking limit-so be sure to plan ahead and avoid the closed areas.

From 5 to 8 P.M., the Downtown Plaza and Unity Square will come alive with live music, vibrant vendors, and family-friendly activities. Bryan Scar will perform at the Plaza, while Sympaticocious will energize the crowd at Unity Square. For pet lovers and their companions, a pet training demonstration by K9 Heeling is scheduled from 6:15 to 6:45 P.M. in Unity Square.

Additionally, a free pet portrait station will be available from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M., providing the perfect opportunity to capture memorable moments with your four-legged friends. Young attendees can also unleash their creativity at an animal-themed craft session organized by volunteers from Salisbury University's Kappa Delta Pi honor society.

More than just an event, 3rd Friday embodies Salisbury's vibrant community, offering an opportunity to explore local art, discover unique treasures from vendors, and support the small businesses that are essential to the community. This month's celebration is proudly supported by WMDT, the media sponsor for the 2025 season of 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury.
