City of Salisbury Announces Salisbury Marathon and Temporary Road Closures

Salisbury, MD - The annual Salisbury Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K races are scheduled to take place in Downtown Salisbury on Saturday, April 4, 2026. This event will necessitate several temporary road closures throughout the city limits. 

Residents and visitors are advised to review the modified traffic routes to minimize travel disruptions.

Preparations for the event will begin on Friday, April 3, 2026. The Downtown Plaza, located on West Main Street between Market Street and Division Street, will be closed starting at 1 p.m. for event setup.

Multiple road closures will be implemented on the day of the race, Saturday, April 4, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Main Street will be closed from Lake Street to Court Street. West Market Street will be closed from Main Street to Circle Avenue. Camden Street will also be closed to through traffic. 

Carroll Street will be shut down from Waverly Drive to the traffic circle. Division Street will be blocked from Route 50 to Circle Avenue. Mill Street will be closed starting from Church Street. Additionally, access to Riverside Drive will be restricted to local traffic only.

A separate closure will be enforced near City Park on Saturday morning. South Park Drive will be closed from Beaver Dam Drive to Snow Hill Road between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.
