Salisbury, MD - The City of Salisbury will conduct water service line replacement work on the 700 Block of Schumaker Lane as part of ongoing municipal water distribution system improvements.

The Department of Waterworks Utilities Division has scheduled the water service renewal for Monday, August 25, 2025. Work will begin at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to conclude by approximately 3:30 p.m., weather and conditions permitting.

Road Closure Information

Schumaker Lane will be closed to all through traffic between N. Schumaker Drive and Foggy Bottom Drive during the construction period. The closure is necessary to ensure worker safety and allow crews to complete the project efficiently.

Local residents will still have access to their properties during the work hours. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time.

Project Details

The water service line replacement is part of the city's comprehensive program to repair and maintain the municipal water infrastructure. City officials have coordinated with utility locators and Central Alarm services to ensure all underground utilities are properly marked before construction begins.

Residents in the immediate area may experience temporary water service interruptions during the installation process. The city will provide advance notice to affected households.
