Salisbury, Maryland - The City of Salisbury has completed resurfacing work on Carroll Street. Officials thanked residents for their patience during the construction period.
The project involved months of planning and coordination. Current lane markings on the street are temporary. Permanent striping will be installed once the new asphalt has properly cured.
"After months of planning and coordinating schedules, the long-awaited improvements to Carroll St. have finally arrived. The striping you see now is only temporary. Once the new blacktop has had the weekend to cure, the permanent striping will be added. In short - you're free to roam, just remember to stay in your lane! Welcome back to Carroll St.," said Mayor Randy Taylor.
Additional safety improvements are scheduled for completion. Delineators will be installed at corner safety islands. Weather permitting, the striping contractor will return on Monday, August 25, to install permanent lane markings.
The improvements are designed to enhance safety and accessibility. The project benefits drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians using Carroll Street.
