CRISFIELD MAN ARREST IN CONNECTION WITH APRIL HOMICIDE

Crisfield, MD - A resident of Crisfield has been arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred in Somerset County earlier this year.
Tyren Lee Ivey, 28, was apprehended on Friday morning in Seaford, Delaware, and now faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder and various firearms offenses.
Ivey is charged with first-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and several firearm-related offenses.
The arrest was made by the Delaware State Police, and Ivey was subsequently transported to the Somerset County Detention Center. He is currently awaiting a hearing before a district court commissioner.
The incident took place on April 25, 2025, when officers from the Crisfield Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on Cove Street in the Somers Cove neighborhood.
Upon arrival, officers found Evan Neal, 20, of Crisfield, suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Neal was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation into the case. Several agencies assisted in the investigation and the apprehension of Ivey, including the Delaware State Police, the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit, the Seaford Police Department, the Crisfield Police Department, and the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
