Delaware Department of Correction Seeks Offender Following Walk-Away in Georgetown

Sussex County, DE - The Delaware Department of Correction announced that an offender willfully walked away from the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Georgetown, Delaware.

Adam Blades failed to return to the facility from an approved work pass on March 5, 2026. His current whereabouts are unknown, and his absence is unauthorized.

A Warrant for Escape after Conviction has been issued by the department.

Community Corrections Centers operate as Level 4 facilities. The Department of Correction utilizes these centers to manage offenders who are transitioning back into the community.

These locations are not secured like Level 5 prisons. Offenders residing there are permitted to leave the facility to attend work, seek employment, or participate in approved treatment sessions.

Blades is described as a white male, born on December 6, 1971. His last known address is located in Seaford, Delaware. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair.

He has identifying tattoos on his left arm, right arm, right shoulder, and left shoulder. His current offense is listed as a Violation of Probation for Burglary 3rd Degree.

Update 3/6/2026 at 8:25 AM - Adam Blades has been apprehended by the Department of Corrections and returned to custody. He was arraigned at JP 2 before being committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on an Escape after Conviction Warrant in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
