Delaware Man Arrested After Road Rage Incident Involving Firearm

Milton, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested a 38-year-old Dagsboro man following a road rage incident that occurred on Coastal Highway in Milton on Thursday evening.


Joshua Vickers faces multiple felony charges including aggravated menacing and firearm violations after allegedly pointing a weapon at another driver during the incident.


Police responded to Eagle Crest Road near Coastal Highway at approximately 5:57 p.m. on August 21, 2025. The victim reported being involved in a road rage confrontation with the driver of a white Honda Pilot on northbound Coastal Highway.


During the incident, Vickers allegedly yelled at the victim and pointed a firearm in their direction. The confrontation occurred near the Eagle Crest Road area of Coastal Highway.


Troopers located Vickers and his Honda Pilot at Hudson Fields on Eagle Crest Road shortly after the incident. He was detained without resistance.


A search of the vehicle revealed multiple weapons. Officers discovered a 9mm handgun in the glove compartment, along with a 12-gauge shotgun and two .22 caliber rifles.


Vickers was transported to Troop 7 and charged with:


  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon - Firearm (Felony)
  • Aggravated Menacing (Felony)
  • Overtaking/Passing on the Right


Vickers was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $30,100 unsecured bond.
