Delaware Man Arrested on Drug and Firearm Charges Following Search Warrant Execution

Selbyville, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested a 42-year-old Selbyville man on multiple felony charges related to drug distribution and illegal firearm possession.
Troy Hudson was taken into custody on August 19, 2025, following the execution of a search warrant at his residence on the 31000 block of Polly Branch Road in Selbyville, Delaware.
The search warrant was carried out by members of the Sussex County Drug Unit, Sussex County Governor's Task Force, and Department of Correction - Probation and Parole. The warrant was obtained after an investigation into Hudson's suspected distribution of illegal narcotics from the residence.
Hudson was detained at the property during the search. A child was also present in the residence at the time of the operation.
The search of the residence yielded significant evidence, including:
- Approximately 91.22 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 52.66 grams of crack cocaine
- Approximately 9.78 grams of heroin
- Multiple firearms: 9mm handgun, .32 caliber handgun, short double barrel shotgun, and two 12-gauge shotguns
- Ammunition for various calibers
- Two .40 caliber magazines
- Digital scale
- Drug paraphernalia
- $8,535 in suspected drug proceeds
Hudson was transported to Troop 4 and charged with multiple offenses:
- Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Tier 3 (Felony) - 3 counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tier 3 (Felony) - 3 counts
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm/Destructive Weapon if Previously Convicted of a Felony (Felony) - 5 counts
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited - Prior Violent Crime or Felony (Felony) - 3 counts
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child by Committing a Drug Offense with a Child in the Dwelling
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
Hudson was arraigned by Justice of the Peace 7 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $206,400 cash bond.
