Delaware Man Arrested on Drug and Weapon Charges Following Search Warrant

MILLSBORO, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested a 38-year-old Millsboro man on multiple felony charges related to drug distribution and illegal weapon possession.


Djuan Sheppard was taken into custody on Friday following the execution of a search warrant at his residence on the 27000 block of Mount Joy Road in Millsboro.


The search warrant was executed on August 29, 2025, by members of the Sussex County Drug Unit, Sussex County Governor's Task Force, and the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team.


The warrant was obtained after investigators conducted a thorough investigation into Sheppard's alleged distribution of illegal narcotics from the residence.


During the search, officers detained four adults who were present at the residence, including Sheppard.


The search yielded several items of evidence:

  • Approximately 44.81 grams of crack cocaine
  • Approximately 0.28 grams of cocaine
  • Digital scales
  • 9mm ammunition


Sheppard, who has a prior felony conviction that prohibits him from possessing firearms or ammunition, was transported to Troop 4 for processing.


He was subsequently arraigned by Justice of Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $45,100 secured bond.


The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to examine the evidence collected during the search.
