Delaware Natural Resources Police Launch Annual Toys for Tots Campaign
 
Sussex County, DE - The Delaware Natural Resources Police have initiated their annual Toys for Tots campaign to support families in need during the upcoming holiday season. The campaign begins on Wednesday, October 29, with collection boxes positioned at locations throughout the state.
The initiative operates in partnership with the local branch of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. All donations collected within Delaware will be distributed to local families across the three counties.
The program accepts new, unwrapped toys suitable for children of all age groups. Officers from the Delaware Natural Resources Police's three units coordinate the collection effort. These units include Fish and Wildlife, Environmental Crimes, and State Parks divisions.
Collection boxes have been placed at Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control facilities statewide.
Collection Schedule and Locations
Toy donations will be accepted through different dates depending on the county. Kent and Sussex counties will accept donations through Wednesday, December 10. New Castle County's collection period ends on Sunday, December 6.
Several locations serve as drop-off points for the campaign. All Delaware State Park offices statewide accept donations Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This includes the Brandywine Zoo in Wilmington.
The Delaware Natural Resources Police office in Sussex County, located at 23530 Campbell Circle in Georgetown, accepts donations Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control's Richardson & Robbins Building at 89 Kings Highway in Dover operates as a collection site Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
