Delaware State Police are Investigating a Friday Night Shooting in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Rehoboth Beach, DE - The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Friday night, August 1, 2025, in the area of Oyster House Road, Rehoboth Beach.

At approximately 10:59 p.m., troopers responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity. Upon their arrival, officers located a Hyundai Genesis vehicle that had been struck by gunfire.

Preliminary investigations have determined that the Hyundai was traveling on Oyster House Road when unknown suspects in an unidentified vehicle opened fire from behind. An unknown number of shots were fired, striking the Hyundai. Two adults were inside the car at the time of the incident, but no injuries were reported.

This case remains under active investigation by the Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit. Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident, or anyone who may have witnessed the events, to contact Detective P. LaPlaca at 302-752-3798.
