DELAWARE STATE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A SUSPICIOUS DEATH IN REHOBOTH BEACH

Rehoboth Beach, DE - The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is investigating a suspicious death after a man's body was discovered inside a vehicle parked in Rehoboth Beach.
On June 24, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers from the Rehoboth Beach Police Department responded to a report of a foul odor coming from a parked vehicle in the 40 block of Olive Avenue.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found a gray Mazda CX-5 with Virginia registration legally parked in front of a residence. When officers inspected the vehicle, they discovered the body of a deceased male inside. The victim's body was partially obscured, making it difficult to see from outside the vehicle.
Due to the circumstances surrounding the discovery, the Rehoboth Beach Police Department requested assistance from the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit, which has since taken over the investigation.
The victim has been transferred to the Division of Forensic Science, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death, as well as to confirm the individual's identity.
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate this incident and is seeking information from the public.
