Tragedy struck the town of Millsboro, Delaware on May 20, 2025, when Delaware State Police responded to a fatal two-vehicle crash on Hollyville Road, near Harmon's Hill Road. The accident occurred at approximately 5:16 p.m. and involved a Lincoln MKZ and a Cadillac Escalade.

Reports indicate that the Lincoln MKZ, driven by a 19-year-old man from Dagsboro, tragically swerved into the opposite lane, leading to a collision with the Cadillac. Despite the Cadillac driver's efforts to avoid the crash by moving to the right shoulder, the fronts of the vehicles collided.

Unfortunately, the young driver of the Lincoln was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital. His identity is being withheld until his family has been notified.

The Cadillac's driver, a 52-year-old woman from Dagsboro, and her 56-year-old passenger from Millsboro sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also hospitalized.

This unfortunate accident prompted an extended road closure as investigators worked diligently to piece together the events. The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit is actively seeking information from witnesses to assist in their ongoing investigation.

Master Corporal K. Argo can be reached at 302-703-3264 for any eyewitness accounts. Alternatively, the community is encouraged to provide tips via private message to the Delaware State Police Facebook page or through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
