DELAWARE STATE POLICE ARREST TWO JUVENILES FOR SHOOTING IN LAUREL

On May 20, 2025, the Delaware State Police, in coordination with the Laurel Police Department, responded to reports of shots fired on Seaford Road in Laurel, Delaware. This call was initially posted on the Eastern Shore Undercover Facebook page.


Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered that two black male juveniles, ages 14 and 15, had been involved in a shooting incident targeting a passing vehicle. The two teenagers were walking in the same area of a passing vehicle, at which time for an unknown reason, the vehicle was fired upon an unknown number of times.


Fortunately, the vehicle was unharmed, and its occupants, a driver and two passengers, were safe and uninjured.


The quick response from the authorities led to the speedy identification and arrest of the young suspects. Through investigative techniques, officers located the teenagers nearby and apprehended them without incident.


The 14-year-old faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of ammunition by a person under 18, three counts of reckless endangering in the first degree, and conspiracy in the second degree.


The 15-year-old is charged with three counts of reckless endangering and conspiracy. Both juveniles were arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 3 and are being held at the Stevenson House Detention Center, each on a $125,000 cash bond.
